Do you read me like I read you
Words we've used and used to lie, mislead too
But sometimes I can't tell, do you know me so well?

My father is the son of an immigrant, my mother died real young
It's hard to tell from whom I inherited this fear of too much sun
But now I fear I'll grow a cancer in myself
If I know the sun too well
