I’ve got my head in my hands
I need to reconcile
The hopelessness hangs over us
Like a scared abandoned child

There’s just surface everywhere
While the battle rages inside
I find my hope on this ocean floor

While the songbird sings
Unaware of all that lies
Of something that wants more

It’s in the eyes of the beholder

There in the justice your conscience knows
