This is weighing me down
You built up the walls
I couldn't knock to the ground
A memory I wish i never recalled

This is an epitaph to me
That speaks of a man down on his knees

These vices have closed their grip on me
I can feel them longer in the air I breathe

I'm sick of broken promises that fill the void inside my head
(Not enough to cast me out just show me who I am)
And I've been fighting with myself just to get the upper hand

Can you feel anything other then lies & deceit
I'll do the best that I can to fight away this disease

To pull myself together

Not afraid my past
Just afraid of my future
The shackles I've tightened
Won't hold me down
I've lost all remorse
For the person I was
These weary eyes will see once again

Recover from who I was
Discovering who I am
Am who I should be
