[Spoken]
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
The guys are fuckboys
Girls are sluts
Is that good enough?
Oh, mmm
[Verse 1]
Suburban soul, you turn the sky red
The same old play park, a rusty swing set
The same old boys names, an evil skipping rhyme
And when you get home you wash your hair with turpentine
[Bridge]
Only a little bad
I made a little list
I got a little high
I held it in my fist
And now I'm feeling good
They tell me this is bliss
They tell me this is bliss
Is that what it really is?
They tell me this is bliss
Is that what it really is?
They tell me this is bliss
Is that what it really is?
[Chorus]
But I'm too scared to live
Too stoned to die
Green is the skin
Of the Teenage Witch in her drive through life
[Spoken]
Yesterday I developed a terrible smoker's cough
I don't think I'll ever sing the same again
[Verse 2]
She's telling lies that make you think fast
You haven't eaten, say when'd you have a drink last?
She's not your kind, she's not your kin
She'd rather die than move an inch
[Chorus]
But I'm too scared to live (Ooh, too scared to live)
Too stoned to die (Everybody says I'm too stoned to die)
Green is the skin (Green is my skin)
Of the Teenage Witch in her drive through life (Drive through life)
[Verse 3]
Boredom, boredom, dirty water
Mixing drinks and down the drain
Daytime daytime always makes
The big wide world come back again
Boredom, boredom do your worst
A gift, a curse, a TV guide
Ashing ashing on your passion
Wash your hair with turpentine
[Chorus]
'Cause I'm too scared to live
Too stoned to die
Green is the skin
Of the teenage witch in her drive through life
I said I'm too scared to live (I listen to Yoko Ono)
Too scared to die (I listen to Cibbo Matto)
Green is the skin (I don't blame them)
Of the teenage witch in her drive through life (Drive through life)
Teenage Witch was written by William Brooks & Suzi Wu.
Suzi Wu released Teenage Witch on Fri Sep 08 2017.
Teenage Witch was inspired by the art works of comic book artist Simon Hanslemann. I was getting up at 10pm at night, I’d quit sixth form, my life was nocturnal and bizarre. A drive thru life, there is a poetry in that I think.
