“Surely” is the opening track from Supertramp’s 1970 self-titled debut album. It was written by Rick Davies, Roger Hodgson, and who credited vocals from Richard Palmer. It was released in 1970 as the promotional single from the album by A&M Records. The song did not chart as well in 1970.
Only if I lied could I love you
Nothing of our lives could we share
Only could we try to get by on a sigh
Just because, just this once, I was there
Surely was written by Richard Palmer-James & Roger Hodgson & Rick Davies.
Surely was produced by Supertramp.
Supertramp released Surely on Tue Jul 14 1970.
