The opening track of Paradigm’s debut EP, Sum of Its Parts, ‘Happy Panic Day’ was the first song written with bassist Nathan Holbrough, who joined the band in January 2019, and it quickly became one of the band’s most popular songs.
I got so much going on, but I don’t feel like I do
The list is long, ain’t embarking on this trip, I’m feeling blue
Taking my sweet time, an idle mind is all I feel
Is it such a crime I see no one at the wheel?
Happy Panic Day to me
Once again, I’ll just pretend I’m free
I got nothing going on, but I don’t feel like I do
The list has passed, yeah, life moves fast, can’t keep up in these old shoes
A new one’s coming up, it’s on the horizon over there
I’ll just fill my cup, sit down, relax without a care
Happy Panic Day to me
Once again, I’ll just pretend I’m free
Happy Panic Day to me
Once again, I’ll just pretend you agree
Ah, a life of apathy is tough
Ah, but I can’t seem to get enough
Happy Panic Day to me
Once again, I’ll just pretend I’m free
Happy Panic Day to me
Once again, I’ll just pretend you agree
Paradigm released Happy Panic Day on Fri Nov 29 2019.
