You couldn't walk it if you tried it
Huffing gasoline in a supermarket parking lot
I used to think in fragments
Learned the alphabet by singing

You took off and started running, then beneath all the confusion
I collected all the half-smoked cigarettes
Then I placed them on your doorstep, just to say I missed you
