[Verse 1]
Come sit on the edge
You can be honest now, no need to pretend
If I did something wrong, please do take offence
I want to see you in your emotions again, again, again
[Pre-Chorus]
All this talk is choking me up
You need help and I'm not enough
Know that I'd move Heaven and Earth
To shine a light for you
Tell me then, why is it you run
Back to someone you never loved?
Tell yourself that it's comfortable
When you know that that's not true
[Chorus]
Oh, is this what you want?
Is this what you came for?
You live for the ordinary, ordinary
I see it in your eyes
You lost the fire inside
You get bored of ordinary, ordinary
[Verse 2]
Let's play make-believe
That you have everything that you had ever dreamed
Would you still be happy in reality?
Or are you in need of something that's more exciting?
'Cause I swear
[Pre-Chorus]
All this talk is choking me up
You need help and I'm not enough
Know that I'd move Heaven and Earth
To shine a light for you
Tell me then, why is it you run
Back to someone you never loved?
Tell yourself that it's comfortable
When you know that that's not true
[Chorus]
Oh, is this what you want?
Is this what you came for?
You live for the ordinary, ordinary
I see it in your eyes
You lost the fire inside
You get bored of ordinary, ordinary, ordinary
Ordinary
[Bridge]
Tell me, is it worth it?
I'm far from, I'm far from perfect
But I picked myself up and got out the circus
I picked myself up and got out the circus
Does it make you nervous? (Does it make you nervous?)
These feelings, these feelings have surfaced
Tell me, who wants to be broken on purpose?
Tell me, who wants to be broken on purpose?
[Chorus]
Oh, is this what you want?
Is this what you came for?
You live for the ordinary, ordinary
I see it in your eyes
You lost the fire inside
You get bored of ordinary, ordinary, ordinary

When you listen to this song I want you to be completely honest with yourself and ask if this is where you are meant to be; are you being yourself or are you scared? Are you living for someone else and forgetting yourself? Are you watching life go by like watching the t.v screen? Do you want to wake...
I think I suggested this as the opener because it’s got a piano intro and I was like, ‘It’d be kind of cool to start the mixtape with that.’ We just did it and rolled with it. The intro was originally a separate part of the track; I think it was in the chorus.
The song was starting really big at first and then we were like, ‘OK, let’s strip it right down so it’s just piano and vocals.’
