Conquer the ocean by the noon day's sun
By the stars that same water turns to ice
Retreat the sails unclothe the skinny mast
And package me with whiskey and a pair of dice

That noon day sun has got crescent-like motion
& only starts fly up above
Weak are my eyes as I follow their movement
When luck should grant
Me wind that's gentle enough

Oh but you see me at my worst
My bones yawn in days like these
Oh but it keeps me honest
This winter's bringing me down to my knees
But it keeps mе honest on these opеn seas

Gone are those summer days of food to spare
I savour now each crust of bread
Now is the test of my generous claims
