“Blind You” is Didirri’s debut single, on his debut EP Measurements.
Didirri explained the track is about:
coming to the realisation that even though you may not be right for an ex, they are still a great person and deserve to be loved.
[Verse 1]
To my love
You will see me fall down into trenches
But just go on and leave me
You don’t need me that way
You'll find a love to blind you
[Verse 2]
To my love
You will find that wounds are aplenty
And as they heal, you’ll find the beauty in the scars
My love, you will find that wounds are so empty
But just leave my love behind
You'll find a love to blind you
[Verse 3]
I just want you to know that I do not feel nothing
When I say I’ve got to go and leave you this way
You'll find a love to blind you
[Bridge]
And if I go away, I won’t go far
And if I go away I won’t go far
I won’t go far
I won’t go far
I won’t go far
[Verse 4]
Still your days
They are so many, we’re still young
Just give into now
And how will you ever see all of the things you could have done?
When you find a love to blind you
When you find a love to blind you
When you find a love to blind you
Blind You was written by Didirri.
Blind You was produced by Hayden Calnin.
If you’ve ever realised that you aren’t good for someone, this is a song about wishing that someone well. Even if they aren’t your biggest fan, you still know they are a good person. It’s tough and weird to deal with, but in a moment of honesty sometimes hating someone is the easy way out.
- Didirri
It’s Didirri speaking, he said this about the voices:
That is literally the… breakup text messages that me and my [ex]girlfriend sent each other. The static noise radio stuff is me just reading out those text messages, and distorting them enough so you can’t quite tell.
