This is the first song from Jane Reynolds’s album “In I Keep” released March, 2020. The entire album was performed, written, and recorded in an apartment in Olympia, Washington according to Reynolds herself. It supposedly recounts her hospital experiences.
Irises open and I'm high
Not to indulge in on the dark side
I am shackled to an ambulance
Heart-shaped lights to a scary dance
Baby don't you see?
That I was having a vision
Of all the fucked-up shit
That's gonna happen to me
And baby I'm scared to death of indecision
Hospital memories!
Stapled me shut so I wouldn't bleed!
Hospital memories!
X-rayed my chest so they could see
Put my organs in a file line
Procrastination of a way to die
I slept in shade while they passed me by
Another day, I can't help but cry
Baby don't you see?
That I was having a vision
Of all the fucked-up shit
That's gonna happen to me
Baby I'm scared to death of indecision
It's a wrap
Oh
In hospital memories
Stapled me shut so that I wouldn't bleed
Hospital memories
They x-rayed my chest so that they could see
Whoah
[Indecipherable screaming]
Virtual Bird released Hospital Memories on Fri Mar 20 2020.
