I just wanna say thanks to everybody that's been down with this Bloods & Crips project throughout the world, everybody knows we banged on wax, now it's time to go to another level, the Bangin' on Wax project was designed to get that frustration out, I hate the fact that these white people didn't get us paid, now I understand what payin' dues is all about, but fuck that, they want us out of the record business, white people wanna make money off you but they don't wanna pay you shit, they will use the fuck outta you, some of these mothafuckas never made a record in they fuckin' life or a video, but one monkey don't stop no show, the media don't talk about how crime has been way down since the Bangin' on Wax would come about, they talk about all that negative bullshit that don't have nothin' to do, with gangs or the Bloods & Crips, they want you to think that it do, there's always gonna be problems among gangs, there were, gangs before our time, Bangin' on Wax have helped my brothers to understand each other, to be on records and videos together, but nobody set trippin', I don't mean just, one or two Bloods & Crips, I mean thousands at one time, that's a big accomplishment
I'm not here to save the world just to do my part, but if I could I would, for my little brothers, who don't rap, who don't have no other avenues and things to do, won't we start, boxin'? Let's set up arenas to do certain things, in our community, we need more people to get involved in our community, to start creatin' more avenues, one: let's rent out some arenas in your neighborhood, for Bloods & Crips or gangs, period, to-to get yo' scrap on, let's try to create some purses to get paid, along with some championship belts, that way, everybody, wanna see a real fight, and I would pay to see it, pick up a gun to kill somebody is very easy, that's the coward's way, let's start trainin' little homies in your neighborhood, to become champions, let's get smart in 1997, hopefully one day, you'll be, fightin' for the championship, of the world, if you're serious about it, everybody has to start somewhere, that's just one way, there's millions of ways we need to help, if you wanna better the world, and have a safer place to live in
The record business for those tryin' to break in, I'm lettin' you know, brothas, this shit-this shit is real shady, first thing: if you tryna get in the record business, make sure you got yo' own lawyer, the-the reason why I'm tellin' you that, man, because a lot of us get caught up in this record business, not understandin' the business, not usin' our own lawyers to understand the business, when you don't have your own advice, you bound to get fucked, and sometimes you gotta check that mothafuckin' lawyer 'cause sometimes he's full of bullshit too, so, what I'm-this what I'm tellin' you, brothas, because I got fucked that same way, and not undestandin' the business, not havin' my lawyers to understand, how this business really works, but even Stevie Wonder can see, that Bangin' on Wax sold more, than the bullshit they tellin' us
After havin' two number 1 videos on the Box, back to back, a number 3 video on the Box, on the Billboard charts for a whole year, R&B charts and the Pop charts and the Heat Seekers, and they paid us bullshit money, man, ain't that a bitch? When you don't have your own lawyers, that's what happens, don't get caught up like that, Dangerous Records is goin' solo now, no longer distributed by Quality, Pump or Warlock Records, we will-we will be in communication with all of our fans, from here on out, I'm sorry that it took so long, but I would love for everybody, that bought the Bangin' on Wax, project, to write and let me know, if you bought it once or twice, or any of my albums, my address is 8033 Sunset Boulevard, Suite 813, Hollywood, California, 90046, we are gonna continue to makin' records, but, on another level, the white folks ain't gonna, run us out of the record business
As a-as a matter of fact, lemme clarify somethin', I'm not talkin' about all white people, I'm talkin' about some o' you mothafuckas who know who you are, dickin' niggas in this goddamn record business, man, let these mothafuckas get paid, man, 'cause of you mothafuckas, man, don't understand these niggas put their hard work into this shit, man, and you mothafuckas keep payin' these mothafuckas bullshit! Stop the games, man, and start payin' these brothas, man! Mothafuckas keep puttin' their lives down and makin' these kind of fuckin' records y'all don't wanna pay 'em, I'm talkin' about all white people, some of you mothafuckas is fulla bullshit, period!
