I still wonder why we put more into recycling a can than providing the opportunity for a young man to
Get a second chance

I must admit, I committed the crime that has me in this place, but what gets me is this isn’t the first time
The law has seen my face

I’ve been beat down, shot at and this has all occurred in my own place

Then you wonder where my anger comes from and ask me why I choose to go dumb

My heart could no longer handle the pain, so I went numb instead of going insane

Hopefully this gives ya insight into the real me

You should have known me before you judged me

I came in at 17 and I will be eligible for parole to come home at 83

All of a sudden my life is gone and you notice me
