Old Red Hat

A year ago today i lost my love to the sea

She was wearing that old red hat

That's what they told me

And if you could've seen her in it

You would understand my pain

Two years ago today

We were drinking champagne on the shore

She was reading poetry

And i was watching her

And if you could've seen the wind blow her hair

But i swear i could've seen her yesterday
