I Will Look Up

We are born into this world
Helpless and afraid
At the mercy of the hands
Into which we are laid

And we are quickly taught to trust
Though we stumble day by day
We somehow learn to walk
Anyway

And I'll keep walking just as He moves me
Upon this shifting and uncertain ground
Though I keep falling, He will not lose me
He is ever reaching down

So I will look up to where my hope comes from
Up to The One who calls us all his own
I will look up and set my sights on love, sweet love

Though we sometimes walk this world
Tired and distressed
At the mercy of the sin
That seems to take our best

We must always persevere
Though we stumble day by day

How to walk with grace

So I move onward, sight set on my Lord
On all the goodness He has meant for me
Knowing no burden is too much to carry
He is ever lifting me
