AGAINST THE WORLD

[Verse 1]
There once was a boy who had dreams of simple wealth
Who had the drive to fight but was terrified of himself
Cause in him lie a darkness from former pain that was dealt
But to truly master life he must learn to master himself

And so begins the tale of the will of this child
Day by day the universe is just putting him through these trials
Powering through the hate and the doubt.. while all the while
Fighting friends and family and seeing the fake smiles

Out of options and he don’t know where to turn cause from the love there's an underlying burn
In the inside he is always feeling hurt: a simple outlet for his anger what he yearns
He finds a notebook that can kill with simple words, a dark concept but ay whatever works
He gets to writing slowly mastering his work, leaving all he deems unworthy in the dirt

After all... they all betrayed him, after all... they're the ones he hated
But after everything he realized that his revenge only made him jaded
But through the book and through the pen, he can find a easy way to lash out
Forging on through life… looking in the sky as he shouts out:

So he still trains his mind and his body to keep him leveled

Working, climbing daily, he still is fighting, found a hobby laced in his killer writing
Honed his talent: his words: now enticing, wealth getting closer it’s all ‘bout timing
Racing against time the end slowing rising, watching all the days flash by like lighting
Past friends, past foes all divided, drenched in the dark but is somehow shining

One against the world, that’s how it had to be...
Stuck in a war of thoughts and still could find his peace...

This person that I’m speaking of is me
