Lonzo Ball—aka ZO—is a professional basketball player and rapper from Chino Hills, CA. He played one year of college basketball as a point guard at UCLA before being selected #2 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 NBA Draft.
In the short time since entering the NBA, Lonzo has has begun to establish himself as a multi-hyphenate. Off the court, he’s continued to build public hype around his family’s Big Baller Brand, he’s made his professional rap debut with “Melo Ball 1,” and he and his family landed a reality show Ball in the Family on Facebook. On the court, of course, Lonzo led the Lakers to win the 2017 NBA Summer League and was awarded Summer League MVP. He, Brandon Ingram & Josh Hart were all involved in the Lakers-Pelicans trade for Anthony Davis, which was completed on July 6, 2019.
His career as a rapper stems from his love for hip hop and local rapper/friend DC The Don giving him a verse on his tracks.
