Woo Ji-ho (Korean: 우지호; born September 14, 1992), widely known by his stage name, Zico (Korean: 지코), is a South Korean rapper, producer, singer-songwriter and leader of the boy group Block B, signed under the label Seven Seasons. He has released one solo album, Gallery in 2015, and a two-part album THINKING Part 1 & 2 in 2019.
Zico is notable for his successful crossover skills in the Korean hip-hop scene, maintaining an underground reputation along with mainstream appeal as a Korean idol. He is also a producer of both K-pop and Korean hip-hop music. In 2015 he appeared as a producer with Paloalto of Hi-Lite Records in rap competition television show Show Me the Money 4.
On November 23, 2018, he announced that he hadn’t resigned with the label, and thus would be leaving Block B. That same day, it was announced that he would be releasing an album in 2019 as a soloist.
In January 2019, it was announced that Zico had established his own label, KOZ (King of the Zungle) Entertainment. Zico is planning to use his label to develop other artists as well as his own career.
