Born on January 19, 1982 in the Zhongli district of Taiwan’s Taoyuan City, Angela Zhang Shao-Han (張韶涵) moved to Canada with her parents when she was 12 and later returned to Taiwan after winning the 1999 CBS Pop Star competition to develop her singing career, gaining her first taste of fame in 2002 when she starred in the idol drama MVP Lover (MVP情人) and following it up with her 2004 debut studio album Over the Rainbow.
