Born and raised in Lusaka Zambia, artist/producer Francis Sankhanani Nyirenda Jr more commonly known as Yung Sweezi is an upcoming musician.
He originally started out signing which was fueled by his primary school music teacher at the time Ms. Rebecca Odoi who saw the potential in him and started grooming him towards a singing path with after class vocal training lessons and eventually a first recital. He later picked up a keen interest in rapping but he felt the two could not blend. However in 2010 as Drake emerged on to the rap scene, he was greatly inspired by the way he was able to blend singing and rapping and has since then considered him a great inspiration. This would later encourage him to pursue rap as inspired by his personal role model Drake, who is famous for his blend of rap and singing. Other notable influences on his sound and style of music vary from Travis Scott, Logic, J. Cole to even Kendrick Lamar making his primary Genre Hip Hop/Rap with his Secondary Genre being RnB/Soul. His sound is best described neutral as you are likely to receive an emotional track, a conscious track, a chilled track, ​a trap track, even a lyrical kind of track.
He has released 2 projects thus far with the most recent being an EP titled “The Road To The T.A.K.E: Scene II” which was in preparation for his upcoming project “The T.A.K.E: Scene II” which is the sequel to his first project “The T.A.K.E: Scene “, with the project slated for release towards the end of 2019. He continues to work on his music as much as possible, with him currently recording his mixtape “The T.A.K.E: Scene II” Some notable collaborations include rap duo “The F.A.K.E.”, Hibachi, and Muko but to name a few.
