Raised on mainstream pop and dance music, living in Japan for several years has shaped Yumeaki into an eclectic artist whose goals are pop, international and experimental. With tracks like ‘Habibi’, ‘Stash’, ‘Clownery’, ‘Vulnerable’, and ‘Offline’, Yumeaki is constructing an impressive discography that showcases a rich tapestry of music influences—i.e. synthwave, glitch, J-pop, bubblegum bass, trap, etc.—making the Italian-born emerging artist such a versatile performer that it would be practically impossible to box them into a single category. Falling somewhere between their major influences of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga as a singer and songwriter, Yumeaki lists A. G. Cook, SOPHIE, and Yasutaka Nakata as immediate sources of inspiration for the production of their Y2K bubblegum pop-influenced and PC Music-inspired single ‘Offline’, which marks the beginning of the artist’s brand-new, hyperpop era.
