Youngblood Hawke is a Los Angeles-based indie pop band formed in 2011. Their name is taken from a Herman Wouk novel. The band is made up of vocalist Sam Martin, multi-instrumentalist Simon Katz, (former members of Iglu & Hartly), vocalist/percussionist Alice Katz, drummer Nik Hughes, guitarist Tasso Smith, and bassist Omar Ahmed.
Their first single, We Come Running, was included in FIFA 13, and received further attention for its music video, which features the band diving with sharks.
Their debut full-length, Wake Up, was released April 23, 2013. The band was on semi-hiatus, “ensconced in things like day jobs, solo projects, musical collaborations and impending parenthood,” for an extended time before announcing their second album Edge of the World in 2020.
