Jason Rapheal Johnson Jr. professionally known as Young Rafe, Lpg_rafe, and formerly Nba Jay is an American rapper and songwriter from Davenport Iowa, popularly known for collaborating with Dave Blunts at the beginning of his music career and even teaching him how to rap.

Young Rafe started making rap music in 2018 and has made a lot of songs. Young Rafe was almost like a duo partner to Dave back in the day and he would collaborate with him and 6lasianGod on a lot of songs trying to beat Tdagod to be the first people to put the QC on the map with his earliest known EP being Young Rafe x Dave Blunts The EP released on January 18th 2019.

From early 2018 to mid 2023 Young Rafe was in a rap group called “Wave Team” that included Dave Blunts, Young Rafe, 6lasianGod, Xanos, KumTheRapper, SNOW, Reezy Rollin, and DaRealHuncho, with 6lasianGod and SNOW being the producers.

In May 2019 while all of the members of the Wave Team were becoming more popular, Young Rafe was arrested for unknown reasons, this arrest would kill Young Rafes generational run with Dave Blunts because even though he got out eventually and would continue to collaborate when he got out, Dave had become more popular in the time Young Rafe spent in jail, and Dave started doing less collaborations with Young Rafe as a result and started doing singular collaboration with 6lasianGod until 2023. Young Rafe would still collaborate with KumTheRapper and 6lasianGod and still occasionally made music with Dave.

Dave Blunts did come back for one song called Double Cup <3 in 2024 before ghosting all of the Wave Team for good.

Young Rafe has been in a relationship with Audrienna Marie since 2019 and has a daughter named Clara who was born on November 19th 2019 and a son. Young Rafe is also expected to be having a 3rd child at the time of writing this.
