Shaquon J. Thomas (May 10, 1995 – May 29, 2015), known by his stage name ‘Young Pappy’, was an American rapper.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was raised in the scruffy, jazz-influenced Far North Side neighborhood of Uptown, one of Chicago’s 77 communities.
The themes of most of Young Pappy’s songs are the violence and difficulties he faced growing up. He is the brother of rappers BuDouble and TaySav.
