Jordan Barge, also known as Young Jordan or SoIcyJordan, is an American rapper from Washington, D.C. who is based in Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA. Jordan has always had a love for music since a young age. He was influenced by the buzzing hip-hop culture permeating the District as well as the greater music scene at large. This exposure to a wide range of music shines through in his genre-defying artistry.
Young Jordan’s journey brought him to Morehouse College in Atlanta where he connected with YSL boss Young Thug. As the friendship grew, he started creating music, collaborating with Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, and others, including fellow D.C. emcee and YSL signee Yung Kayo, most notably resulting in his standout verse on Gunna’s At the Hotel. Eventually, he would earn a signing to Thug’s Atlanta-based label imprint Young Stoner Life. Young Jordan’s 2018 debut solo project, Slicey featured production from venerable hitmakers Turbo and Wheezy, and served as a welcome party for the rising star. He followed up in 2019 with Isquiat, a project where he grappled with his own identity as an artist over production just as scattered as his inner thoughts. In 2021, Young Jordan reaffirmed his confident bravado with Up My Status, articulating rather bluntly that he will forever elevate in all facets of life.
Young Jordan approaches his music with the savvy of an artist beyond his years. Reaching across musical boundaries to create soundscapes that illustrate his chaotic lifestyle as a stoner, rockstar, & fashion aficionado, Young Jordan is poised with a charismatic flair that attracts fans of all backgrounds.
