Kamikaze Gotti or K. Gotti is an American rapper and songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana. Quigley is best known for his work under G*59 Records.
K. Gotti sometime around 2013 would link up with aspiring rappers Scott Arceneaux Jr. and Aristos Petrou. Through this, he’d also start working with associates of DJ Dizzi/Melo D productions, such as Dante Cage and Fat Fat. K. Gotti appears frequently in mixtapes from this era as a common collaborator and feature, he also created his own eleven-track mixtape while working with G*59 Records called 537556.
After Arceneaux and Petrou formed $uicideboy$, Scrim continued to produce beats for him. The $uicideboy$ song Kamehameha (Kamikaze Remix) prominently samples K. Gotti’s vocals, with “Kamikaze Remix” likely being a direct reference to him. For a short period, K. Gotti would adopt the new moniker “Kazi” circa 2015-2016.
At some point, K. Gotti rebranded himself again as Xydistic or simply Xy, and continued to release music under this name. His music also started to become more akin to horrorcore and death rap as opposed to the dirty south trap music he’d made with G*59. Arceneaux co-produced one of his most popular songs, Voodoo Deja Vu.
As of 2021, Xy began using the K. Gotti namesake once more and continues to release singles predominantly on his SoundCloud.
