About XQZ (Battle Rapper)

Steve Eanet (born September 22, 1990), better known as XQZ, is an American MC and battle rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He started his battle career in September 2009 on the Midwest battle league No Coast, originally based out of Columbia, Missouri. He later became the No Coast league champion from September 17, 2010 until February 22, 2019, when he personally vacated the title after getting no-showed by Yung Dave, who was supposed to battle XQZ in a title match at No Coast’s Valentine’s Day Massacre 6. XQZ is known for his confident demeanor in the ring, his clever punchlines and writing ability, and his comedic timing when battling.

In addition to No Coast, XQZ has also competed around the world on battle leagues like Don’t Flop, King of the Dot, iBattleTV, and Go-Rilla Warfare. In 2020, iBattleTV league owner Lexx Luthor chose XQZ as one of Lexx’s 14 picks in URL’s latest talent development program, The Crucible, where XQZ has been impressing judges and battle rap bloggers with his slick, polished wordplay and veteran status in the sport. He was one of only 36 battlers to advance to Phase 2 in the competition, out of 140+ MCs who auditioned for the process.
