Paul Woodrow Chrisman (born August 23rd, 1949), better known by his stage name Woody Paul “The King of The Cowboy Fiddlers” is an American singer, fiddler, composer, and holds a Ph.D. in theoretical plasma physics. Even before joining Western swing band Riders In The Sky in 1978 (one year after their formation), Chrisman was already well-known in the music industry for his Fiddle-playing talent after appearing in the PBS documentary Showdown At The Hoedown in 1977.
