Winzday Love is a twenty-three year old singer and songwriter raised in D.C. With tantalizing deep vocals and axe in hand, her lyrics captivate listeners, inviting them into a state of cosmic soul consciousness with punk rock accents. With influences ranging from Rose Royce to Led Zeppellin, she manifests a sonic energy all her own that’s already catching the attention of Afropunk. She has presented an exclusive in-studio performance at Beneville Studios, home to the prominent listening platform iHeart Radio, headlined shows with Sofar Sounds both in New York and D.C., and is slated to bless the Smithsonian’s Luce Unplugged stage with an acoustic show in early 2019. Her performance series Enter the Vortex is a multisensory experience designed to raise the vibrations of any space and highlight local creative partners. The show has run at the historic Black Cat D.C. and at Kinfolk 94 in Brooklyn, with additional east coast dates being scheduled as Winzday prepares to release new music.
