William Bishop is a classically trained cellist & double bassist, who began exploring a keen interest in music from learning the acoustic guitar as a teenager. Writing his compositions on both guitar & piano, Bishop’s performances form part of The University Of York’s degree courses for their Film, Media & Television faculties.

Influenced by Laura Marling, Bob Dylan & Leonard Cohen, William pitches his sound as somewhere between Dylan and Tom Waits. Capturing a melancholy vibe alongside his strong vocals, William Bishop’s uncomplicated style of guitar playing truly allows his music to come to life.
