Why Not is a Math Rock band from Minnesota started by three high school friends: Isaac Dell, Henry Breen, and Joshua MacGregor. After releasing their sophomore album and the single “Ready 4 The World,” the group is currently on tour.

The band first gained notoriety as a high school band that was part of a college rock scene. Initially formed as a progressive metal band in the late summer of 2015, the band is now best known for it’s Indie Rock tunes with Punk and Math Rock elements.

The Inspiration for the band’s name was actually a painting by Isaac Dell’s mother, and, to quote Jerard Fagerberg with CityPages, “With no second thought to marketing or Googleability. Blunt enough to mean nothing and anything at the same time. A little snot-nosed, a little capricious, and the perfect emblem for a band of teenagers piecing together their ethos as they go.”
