Wayne Static (Real name is Wayne Richard Wells) is best known for being the lead vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist, and music sequencer for Static-X. Static released his only solo album Pighammer on October 4, 2011. Wells died in his sleep on November 1, 2014 of multiple drug toxicity, consisting of oxycodone, hydromorphone, alprazolam, and alcohol. Wells' past prescription drug and alcohol abuse was also a contributing factor to his death.
