VVARD (also known as Verena Ward) is a Dutch/Indonesian singer, songwriter and producer. Growing up in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, she started in her bedroom as her base to produce music in college that led her to musical collaborations. VVARD started performing solo as a singer-songwriter since February 2017 and played on stages throughout The Netherlands. She was the supporting act for Baio (bassist of the indie rock band Vampire Weekend), Dream Wife, LAUREL and pop sensation HRVY. Ward is 3voor12 Talent of 2018 and toured along the Popronde Nederland.

Ward describes her sound as “an experimental dreamy indie pop that you don’t hear quite often.”

VVARD’s musical influences include girl in red, Clairo, Bleachers, Rostam and Tegan and Sara.
