About Walt Mansa

Exploring creativity through art has always been a part of life for 22 year old Walt Mansa. Growing up he used writing as a means to express himself, and when he took a music class as a freshman in high school, he heard his calling as a producer.

It made perfect sense, because a knack for musical talent runs in his family. His brother Rasual is a rapper, and Walt credits watching Rasual excel as an inspiration for his own artistic growth. His ear for music was honed through the sounds of a variety of prolific producers he admires, from Dr. Dre and Alchemist to Quincy Jones and Mike Will Made It.

That variance of sound translated to his own work, where he’s made a name for himself thanks to his chameleon-like ability to adapt to any style. His versatility landed him a gig as the in-house producer with LFTFLD, a rising Los Angeles music collective.

He credits his work with the label for broadening his skillset. “There’s so many different personalities and sounds inside LFTFLD and those we associate with,” Walt says. “Because of that, my style of beats have are really hard to pinpoint to a certain sound.”

He’s channeled his gifts into a debut project called “PLUM” that showcases his rapidly evolving style. He created “PLUM” with the goal of giving listeners a project they could enjoy in any setting; from a date to just vibing with your friends.

With his experience already paying dividends and an endless enthusiasm for pushing his creative boundaries at his disposal, Walt is primed to make his name just as familiar as his inspirations.
