Singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist VVAVES was born and raised in Halifax, Canada. She started composing songs at the age of 10, teaching herself to play instruments to write and make YouTube cover videos.

She moved to Europe alone when she was 15. She travelled after finishing high school in Canada and also Germany where she began writing for and with other artists. In 2018 VVAVES signed to Universal Music Group.

Her first single, “Alive”, was first presented on stage in a Felix Jaehn remix during his “iLive Tour” where VVAVES joined as a special guest performer. She also toured with Max Frost, gnash and Hyphen Hyphen.

Her highly anticipated next single “Boys Like You” features Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and drops May 24th.
