Christian Valentin “Val” Brunn, stage name Virtual Riot, is a German electronic dance music producer. Though best known for his distinctive dubstep and Riddim production, starring futuristic growls and idiosyncratic blips, Brunn also branches into electro and drum & bass fusions.

Born July 20, 1994 in Marl, North Rhine-Westphalia, Brunn began producing future garage and ambient dubstep under the project Your Personal Tranquilizer. After launching his new alias Virtual Riot in 2010, Brunn joined the growing EDM scene with his 2011 EP From Space, and would go on to become one of the foremost pioneers on the dubstep scene. He has since released a total seventeen EPs, numerous singles and collaborations, several compilations, and in September of 2021, his debut album Simulation.
