Vincent Youmans (1898-1946) became interested in show business while serving in the U.S. Navy during World War I. Seeing no combat action, he found himself producing troop shows. He spent most of his show business career as a Broadway producer and was forced into retirement in 1934 after catching the tuberculosis that would eventually kill him. He wrote the songs for No, No Nanette and Hit the Deck! Though his output was small, it showed great flashes of quality.
Vincent Youmans's first song Sometimes I’m Happy released on Thu Jan 01 1970.
