Vietnam are a New Zealand post-punk band. Formed in 1981 by Adrian Workman, Peter Dransfield, Leon Reedijk, and Shane Bradbrook while they were in high school.
In 1985 they released their self-titled Vietnam EP, before breaking up due to the high cost of studio recording and the band members going separate ways in life.
In 2015, Vietnam reformed to reissue the Vietnam EP. With new members Geoff Lerwill and Joseph Neufeld, they would go on to record 2022’s This Quiet Room, a mix of new songs and re-imagined material from the 80’s sessions (such as the 2021 single “What Have I Done?,” previously an unreleased track).
