Vienna Teng (born Cynthia Shih Yih) is a Taiwanese-American pianist and singer-songwriter. Her overall musical style has been succinctly described as “chamberfolk,” incorporating piano and classical elements with folk and pop.
From 2000 to 2002, Teng worked as a software engineer at Cisco Systems after graduating from Stanford University, but eventually quit to try pursuing music full-time, signing to Seattle-based indie label Virt Records. She currently works full-time as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company in their Denver office, focusing on global energy economics, energy storage and renewable energy integration.
