Vicktor Taiwo, a London-based artist,makes his music ‘with dark lush synthetic layer upon layer, fills in a retro digital landscape between the ears’.Previously intending to pursue a career in photography, Vicktor transitioned only recently from behind the lens to center stage. He doesn’t see the two as being so dissonant though – from a creator’s perspective, so long as his audience is altered, shifted, or thrown slightly off kilter from his work, he’s satisfied. Citing Sade, Corinne Bailey Rae, Radiohead, and Brian Eno as sources of inspiration, it’s not hard to tell where he’s coming from.

What can we expect from Vicktor Taiwò? Reflection. On himself, of others, inward, outward. A tidepool of sounds mirroring himself, rippling and distorted. Vicktor’s just setting the lens.
