Born in Athens on July 19, 1996, Vangelis Kakouriotis' (born: Evangelos Myronas Kakouriotis) rise to fame has offered him more than just the title of Greece’s ultimate pop icon. Singer, songwriter, producer, performer, sound engineer, and the list goes on…

Kakouriotis took his first steps to stardom at just 16 as the youngest member of former Greek boyband, Boys and Noise, along with fellow singers Aris Makris and Jimmy Gian. After a three-year journey from 2013 leading to a permanent hiatus in 2016, this was Kakouriotis' chance to prove his abilities independently.

His debut single “I Dikia Mas Agapi” served as the opportunity to reintroduce himself as a solo singer. It was followed up with “Xriso Fili” and “Girizo Selida”, the latter song of which became the title to his platinum-certified EP, which sold more than 50,000 records in Greece. This was followed up by the release of his first studio album in 2017 named Gia Sena Eimai Edo. After juggling both musical endeavours and drama studies since his first album release, another extended play, titled Esi, was released in early 2022.

Throughout his solo career, he has been awarded and nominated on various occasions. He was acclaimed as “Best New Artist” at the MAD Music Awards Cyprus 2016 and Super Music Awards Cyprus 2017, respectively, and managed to thrive in both nominated categories–“Best Newcomer” and “Superfans of the Year” at the MAD Video Music Awards 2017. He was also nominated for “Favourite Greek Music Artist” at the Kids Choice Awards 2018, which he eventually won in 2019 in the same category.
