Ultimate Painting (active 2014-2018) were an alt rock band from London, formed by Blackpool-born Jack Cooper and Torbay-born James Hoare. The duo were previously involved in bands including Proper Ornaments and Veronica Falls. They released their first album, Trouble in Mind, in 2014. This was followed by Green Lanes in 2015 and by Dusk in 2016. They announced their (ultimately unreleased) fourth album in 2018, titled Up!. The band split up in February 2018, citing an “irreconcilable breakdown”. Their album release and tour were cancelled.
