Umehara Masaru (梅原大), known as U.M.E.D.Y., was a Japanese rapper born in 1971. He is a former producer of the hip-hop units EDU and SPICY CHOCOLATE, and a former member of the R&B unit Sin. He also worked for multiple J-pop acts, such as Hello! Project. He passed away from a glioblastoma in 2017.
