TZU (pronounced “Tee Zed Yoo”) were an Australian hip-hop group, hailing from Melbourne; their name was borrowed from the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu. They formed in 1999 and released four studio albums between 2004 and 2012, before they disbanded in 2013. The group consisted of Joelistics and Seed MC (now known as Count Bounce) as the group’s vocalists, bassists, and guitarists, Yeroc on drums and samplers and Paso Bionic on the turntables. The group’s fifth member, Duzy What, joined the group in 2005 as their keyboardist.
