London riser Tyler Lewis has been catching attention with debut single ‘downtime’.

The young artist is only 22-years-old but moves with incredible assurance. Blending aspects of her heritage – Sri Lankan, Dutch, Portuguese, and South African – her colourful voice illuminates some laid-back vibes.

New single ‘downtime’ is potent and soulful, her pop appeal and undaunted ambition perfectly visible from the off. Released on 31st January 2024, she says: “I love how the music made me feel more than anything.”

There’s heavy hype on her shoulders already, but she’s dealing with expectations like a pro. Ray Fiasco directs the video for ‘downtime’, alongside input from MNEK – and it’s a low-key house party situation.

“I’m thrilled to finally share my music with the world. The fact that there’s even a music video feels surreal to me! Ten-year-old Tyler would be screaming right now. I vividly recall shooting the video, especially during a scene where the cameraman captured a Birds Eye view. He stood above me with this massive camera, and for a moment, it felt like a scene from Final Destination…”
