Julius Roosevelt Terrell, better known by his stage name TyFontaine, is an American rapper and songwriter from Washington D.C. who has become popular in the underground rap scene. He’s a member of the record label Internet Money Records and has many connections with popular artists, such as: Lil Tecca, Nick Mira, Taz Taylor, and more.

He is best known for his 2019 hit song “virtual world” which has racked up hundreds of thousands of plays on SoundCloud. After dropping his debut album 1800 in April of 2020 a single from the album, titled “Fetish” has been his first song to ever pass 1 million plays.

On June 26, 2020, he announced via Instagram that he would be changing his name to MICHI, reinforcing this once again via Twitter five days later. He uses the name MICHI as an alter-ego to perform pop-inspired song.
