Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity & Fluttershy (best known as the “Mane 7” or “The Humane 7”) are the main characters throughout the Equestria Girls series.

First formed as the human version of The Mane 6 in the first Equestria Girls movie, the group furtherly developed in Rainbow Rocks movie, adding a reformed Sunset Shimmer who was the main antagonist in the first EG movie to the group, and human world-Twilight (also known as “Sci-Twi”) “replacing” Equestria’s Twilight at the end of the Friendship Games movie.

The 7 also has their own band called The Rainbooms
