Abram Hillstead (born December 29, 2009), better known as twelfthcard (twelfth), is an American shoegaze and folk musician. Before pursuing the “twelfth” name, he went under “Lil Chilly” and still made similar shoegaze and folk music. His first major debut that experimented with shoegaze and rock elements, “the crow”, came out on October 20, 2023. It gained a bit of attention on music rating websites like Album of the Year and Rate Your Music. Shortly after the release of his first record, he released a 6-track EP “silhouette”, which came out on March 29, 2024. This was his most popular project which goes full-shoegaze, layered in distorted and reverbed vocals with a tint of glitch pop. He then released a few more singles as a finale to the “Lil Chilly” alias. His first release under the new name and lead single for his second album, “calypso” released on November 25, 2024. “zombie”, the second single for the album came out on January 31, 2025. His sophomore album of his musical career but debut under “twelfth” titled “i’m not, i’m just” seems to be on the way.
