About Turnabout

Turnabout (born July 26, 2004), alternatively stylized as TURNABOUT, is an American recording artist hailing from Utah.

Turnabout started his music career making hyper-pop under the alias x3luh, with only one known song surfacing from this era—“damned whisps,” featuring fellow hyperpop artist i9bonsai.

In November 2021, he joined Sematary’s collective Haunted Mound and made his debut under the Turnabout pseudonym a month later with his single “MY REAPER,” featuring Sematary. By March of 2022, he dropped “Bolos”, cementing the style that would later be expanded upon in Cutter Lane, his first mixtape. Turn brought a melodic wave on top of the drill beats that had been increasingly popularized amongst the Haunted Mound.

In May of 2023, Turn released the titular single for his sophomore mixtape, Lord of Ephraim, which dropped in July. This mixtape experimented with an especially distorted collection of witch house inspired horrorcore trap as Turn garnered an edgy black trenchcoat, slicked back style.
