About Tuesday Knight

Tuesday Knight (born February 17, 1969) is an American singer-songwriter, designer and actress.

Daughter of composer Baker Knight, Tuesday has been in the music industry since the early ‘80s.
After recording backing vocals for Quiet Riot’s 1983 album Metal Health, Knight began working on her own solo career starting with 1985’s Little Things.
In 1987, she would release her debut album with Parc/CBS Records titled Tuesday Knight. The album spawned the sole single “Out Of Control” and included a cover of “Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?” originally by Prince.

In 1988, Knight would assume the role of Kristen Parker (originally played by Patricia Arquette) in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. This installment boasts a first for the franchise: a theme song, that of which was co-written and performed by Knight. While the cult classic track “Nightmare” was omitted from the film’s soundtrack, it has since been remastered and released by Knight on CD and MP3 formats.

Knight would continue contributing to television and film soundtracks and would eventually find more success in her solo career with the release of her album Here It Comes in 2000.
She is currently the lead singer in the Blondie tribute band Rapture: The Blondie Tribute and continues to focus her efforts on acting, fashion design and music.
